Black & White Update Report

Featuring
me, Spot!
Hello
everyone, I'd like to welcome you to my first official article for this
wonderful establishment known as the Reality Syndicate. As an integral
part of the "game" that is Black & White, I am as
eager as anyone to know exactly when, and how, the "game" will
be updated. I recently got wind of some talk about an expansion update
involving many new options in the game - eager to try them out, I volunteered
to test a new series of Leashes. As you know, Leashes are used
to lead Creatures around and force them to do things against their bidding.
I normally am not too fond of leashes, but for this opportunity, it was
worth it.
I tried
out a whole new set of Leashes, each of which is very different from anything
seen in the world of Black & White before. I have provided
screen shots of my use of the new Leashes, along with explanations of
each one and what it does. Enjoy, readers!

LEASH
OF DISORIENTATION
This
leash is, in my opinion, a little frustrating. With it, your Creature
will lose all track of his position, heading, and things he is
looking at. He will be confused by anything shiny or moving.
LEASH
OF GRAFFITI
This
leash was a bit more fun - basically, when attached to it, your
creature will run around defacing the walls of any structure he
sees with a can of ethereal spraypaint. Villagers beware!

LEASH
OF IMBALANCE
Another
slightly unpleasant sensation - this leash causes your Creature
to lose his sense of balance and coordination, causing him to
stagger around like a drunken penguin.
LEASH
OF INDIFFERENCE
I
liked this leash, although it seemed to have almost no effect
on me. Basically, it causes your Creature to stop caring about
anything altogether.

LEASH
OF INTENSE ABDOMINAL DISCOMFORT
I
think this was my least-favorite leash. It causes your Creature
to double over in severe pain, induced by a violent churning of
stomach acids. Yecch.
LEASH
OF INTOXICATION
I
don't remember using this leash. At all. I do remember waking
up in a pile of tree branches and nervous sheep... I suppose it's
useful.

LEASH
OF IRRATIONAL AMAZEMENT
This
leash causes your Creature to waddle around in a state of euphoria,
absolutely amazed and impressed beyond all reason by things like
rocks or wood.
LEASH
OF MYOPIA
This
leash causes your Creature's vision to become absolutely horrible,
forcing him to wear thick-lensed glasses just to find his way
around the world.

LEASH
OF NARCOLEPSY
This
leash will make your Creature fall asleep at random times, even
when he's not tired. This was a frustrating leash, especially
when I fell asleep while trying to walk down a mountain.
LEASH
OF OPERA
Your
Creature will be inspired to sing loudly when attached to this
leash. Villagers must be careful that their houses do not collapse
from the intense vibrations.

LEASH
OF PARANOIA
When
attached to this leash, your Creature will be terrified of everything,
worried that there is a huge conspiracy against him. He will babble
endlessly about how various objects are "after him".
LEASH
OF SHAME
With
this Leash attached, your Creature will feel absolutely horrible,
full of shame and rejection. He will stare at the ground and whine
about how bad he feels.

LEASH
OF SHOT PUT
Your
Creature will be convinced he is in the Olympics with this leash
attached, competing for distance in the Shot Put event. Try not
to let him near any villagers.
LEASH
OF SNEEZING
Your
Creature's nose will become irritated while attached to this leash,
and he will be overwhelmed with an intense, uncontrollable fit
of violent sneezing.

LEASH
OF SPONTANEOUS COMBUSTION
This
leash causes your Creature to burst into flames at random intervals
of time, also igniting any nearby objects, animals, or villagers.
LEASH
OF TREE VENDETTA
When
attached to this leash, your Creature will develop an intense
loathing for all trees, and will kick, uproot, burn, or otherwise
attempt to destroy or harm them.

I will be providing
more updates on future versions of Black & White as development
continues - until then, enjoy the game (hehe... "game"...)
and keep reading the Syndicate!
