Football freaks, hockey nuts, but apparently baseball is "too slow"

Perry the Baseball and Fresnel the Bat

Served Loyally as Syndicate Mascots:
February 28, 2001 to August 24, 2001

Perry and Fresnel. Wow. Sure, Batman apparently and Robin may have been the dynamic duo, but certainly these two are... well... pretty good too! Perry and Fresnel began as mascots for spring, actually, but due to the odd mishaps leading to a site wide quietness over the summer of 2001, their stay was stretched longer than any other mascot in history.

A star is pitched!Perry and Fresnel hit it big in mid March of 2001 when they signed a deal with some nameless Hollywood agent. Rumor had it they were to be big stars after their time was up serving as Syndicate mascots (pictured left is a photo from Perry's screen test that hit the tabloids almost momentarily after being developed). Here's a letter we received from the two of them shortly after their departure in late august for sunny California and a career in film:

Dear Reality Syndicate,

We're finally on our way! Our itinerary is confusing since we can't read as we're just a baseball and a bat, but our agent informs us that we have quite a busy schedule.

Filming for our first feature begins in early September. We promise that when our first film is complete we'll make sure to get an illegal copy to you guys before it even hits the big screen!

Um... we gotta go. Our agent says we need to "talk." Ciao for now, Syndicate!

Sincerely,

Perry and Fresnel

Well, even though we miss those two we know they're hardly working for an obscene amount of money. Those brave souls.

-Chris Clark
