Dave
The DVD
Served
Loyally as Syndicate Mascot:
August 25, 2001 to September 17, 2001
Dave the
DVD was definitely one of the more peculiar mascots to serve the Syndicate.
He came to us on cold August morning and boasted about his amazing features,
such as widescreen and normal viewing, audio commentary tracks, deleted
scenes, and even an alternate ending. For only $21.95 he'd be our loyal
mascot, and that was a good deal.
Actually,
we were simply amazed that DVD's could talk through the little hole in
their center as if it were a mouth. Frightening.
Regardless,
Dave was as good as his word and actually had some interesting content
burned into his tracks. One such clip we enjoy watching was the full version
of the day that Blorflax stood live on GNN television to prove to a writer
that it was easier than originally though to get on TV (interested in
reading that article? Click here.)
Dave also managed to have every single Syndicate Film on him, even the
ones we hadn't made yet! Astonishing!
Dave served
well as a mascot. We hope to see him at the reunion this winter. Cheers!
